Summer in the Alps is fantastic. Warm weather with as much or as little to do as you want. In the mountains we seldom have cloudy days as generally we are above the mist at 1000m. Chalet Spycat is south facing, so you have the pleasure of the sun from 8am to 8pm. What could be more pleasant than eating breakfast, lunch and supper outside? The superb location of our property and the relaxing atmosphere make for the perfect base from which to pursue the many summer activities which Morzine has to offer, ranging from extreme adventure to more leisurely pursuits. |

Mountain Biking
There are two main types of mountain biking, downhill and cross country. Downhill is exhilerating and requires nerves of steel, very robust bikes and protection like an american football star. Cross country is more gentle on the body although does involve some significant climbing and will also take you to some magnifisent places that you cannot get too by car.
There are rides for all levels of fitness; Morzine, Les Gets and Les Crossets have downhill courses and Chatel and Morgins have both Downhill and Freeride courses. Sports shops will hire out mountain bikes, helmets and all the other protection that you will need. If you'd like to whiz down the mountain but don’t fancy the ride back up, remember that the lifts are open in July & August !!
